Presentation of gift of £5,000 to Hearing Dogs for deaf people

Presentation of a gift of £5,000 to Hearing Dogs for Deaf People.

This money will train a dog for a deaf person in Lincolnshire.

The dog will be called "Skeggy."

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People was launched in 1982. Since then Hearing Dogs for Deaf People have continued to train dogs to alert deaf people to specific sounds, whether in the home, workplace or public buildings.

RIBI selected Hearing Dogs as their preferred UK charity during 2005-2006. With over 1,838 Rotary Clubs in Great Britain and Ireland, the support Hearing Dogs has and continues to receive is tremendous support. This has been achieved not only by Rotarians raising vital funds but also supporting events, becoming speakers and helping to spread the message about Hearing Dogs.
