| Generous Theatre Goers Give Golden Ticket Opportunity: Peter Pan |
|
Thanks to the generosity of audiences at the Embassy theatre approximately 60 Children have, for the first time, experienced live Theatre in their community this Christmas.
The Skegness Rotary charity in conjunction with the Embassy Theatre Skegness began the Golden ticket scheme as a pilot 6 months ago, performing a bucket collection at the end of each performance at the theatre. To date the collection has raised over £1,000!
The Rotary have used some of this money to “treat” local children’s charities and organisations (who wouldn’t normally have the opportunity or the funds) to a taste of Christmas magic at The Embassy theatre’s pantomime – Peter Pan; pictured are local group Action for Young Carers with the cast and Rotarians. |

Pollyanne Trapmore-Shaw, Front of House & Promotions Manager at The Embassy Theatre – “This type of scheme is relatively new to the Embassy and enables those attending the theatre to share a little of their own enthusiasm for live entertainment with the community. Regular patrons have been so impressed by the scheme that a number of anonymous donations have also been made – for which both the Rotary and I express our sincere thanks. The cast of Peter Pan really enjoyed meeting the children in their groups after the show and listening to what they thought of their first Pantomime experience.”
For more details on this scheme, how you can support it or to see if your charity is eligible to be considered please apply in writing or by email via the website www.embassytheatre.co.uk to Pollyanne Trapmore-Shaw at The Embassy Theatre. |
