The Big Green Box week has been a resounding success with all the local schools visiting the Tower Gardens and being able to see all the various the disaster aid boxes first hand. The children have enjoyed working with the water filters and exploring the shelter tent and maleria nets. Also on exhibition were samples of the Aqua Box, Literacy Box and tool boxes which are sent abroard when then are needed the most.
The Rotary Club of Skegness are grateful to all the Head Teachers for their support and wish to thank the district international team for their help along with the many rotarians who have visited and supported the project during the week.
President Margaret Taylor and Rotarian Robin Wilkinson who organised the weeks activities in the Tower gardens applauded the resounding success of the initiative and praised the local schools for their enthusiasm, support and the excellent behaviour of their pupils.
Special thanks are expressed to The Royal Hotel and First College for their help with providing refreshments for all children and visitors who came to the exhibition.
