The Rotary Club of Skegness are grateful to St Clements School/Skegness Academy for their kind donation of school uniform. When St Clements School was converting to an Academy in September 2010 the new Academy introduced a new school uniform for all pupils. The School shop had therefore a surplus of old uniform which they kindly donated to our Rotary International committee. Rotarian Sam Dyers took on the project to pack and dispatch the uniforms to South Africa. He worked with Belleville Rotary Club in South Africa to source the schools and distribute the uniform. Sam and his wife went to South Africa in the summer holidays to complete the handover and oversee the distribution of the uniform. Since Sam's return he has had contact with the schools and now a pen pal structure is in place between Skegness Academy and the schools in South Africa.
