There was plenty of laughter, a little healthy competition and the occasional wayward putt when members of the Rotary Club of Skegness gathered for a social evening at Jolly Rodger Adventure Golf, by the Clock Tower.
Our grateful thanks go to owner Chris White, who generously allowed everyone to tackle both 9-hole courses free of charge. While some members displayed surprising golfing talent, others proved that crazy golf can certainly live up to its name!
After negotiating the twists, turns and obstacles, everyone headed across the road to Wolfies Wine Bar for a well-earned meal. As the scores were finally totalled, congratulations went to John and Mel Stone, whose steady putting earned them first place and two bottles of wine to celebrate their victory.
A big thank you also goes to Barry Lenton for organising another excellent social evening. It was a great opportunity for members to relax, enjoy each other’s company and, for at least one evening, discover that putting a golf ball through a windmill isn’t quite as easy as it looks!
