Regional final on Saturday 22nd March winner of the Region 2 heat was Lora Blackett from the Rotary Club of Skegness.

Rotary Clubs believe it is very important to encourage cooking amongst young people as it is a growing interest and a valuable life skill. Rotary clubs in association with leading olive oil company Filippo Berio, have organised Young Chef Competitions at District level in the Spring term.
The competition goes from strength to strength producing some superb quality cooking from young people aged 11 to 17.
At regional level the young chefs become shortlisted down to eight winners who will compete in the national final.
The young chefs have to prepare and present a 3 course healthy meal for 2 people fully costed and planned for under £15.

Baked cod loin with a herby coriander crust served on a pea and bacon risotto with bacon crisps
Light lime cheesecake on a crispy ginger nut base served with candid raspberry, lime and ginger
